Tom Hood, who in 2018 was named the Second Most Influential Person in Accounting for the sixth year by Accounting Today Magazine (His fourteenth year on the Top 100) will talk about leading in disruptive times and how to thrive in these times of exponential change.

    Tom’s mission is to help CPAs, finance and accounting professionals be more #FutureReady through his work at the Maryland Association of CPAs and the Business Learning Institute (BLI), a center for the development of leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills for CPAs.
  • CFO Summit Lunch—This exclusive CFO lunch is dedicated to networking with your peers. Don't miss this opportunity to share insights and discuss the most pressing issues facing CFOs today.
  • CFO Workshop on Transformational Financial Leadership—Engage with fellow CFOs in this 2-hour interactive workshop led by Roy Barnes, an expert moderator experienced in helping for- and not-for-profit companies build competencies in leadership, execution strategy, customer engagement, team empowerment, and change management. Roy is a well-rounded, straight-talking professional who understands what it takes to transform both individual and organizational performance. He knows the hard lessons and teaches worldwide audiences how to break out, engage and reach new levels of performance.
  • Speaker: Katrina WittkampWhy Ethics and Culture Matter— We’ll wrap up the CFO Summit with an interactive keynote featuring Forensic Accountant, Professor, and Filmmaker Kelly Richmond Pope. Using her research in forensic accounting and white-collar crime, Pope brings up-to-date facts about how good employees rationalize bad decisions, the importance of internal whistleblowing, and the value of ethical leadership.

    An Associate Professor in the School of Accountancy and MIS at DePaul University in Chicago, IL., Dr. Pope was selected by the TED Ed team to develop a teaching lesson on “How People Rationalize Fraud,” while her TED talk “How Whistle-blowers Shape History” tackles the whistleblower dilemma and the need for whistleblowers in fraud discovery.
