Recently, Cambodian Children’s Fund chose Leap the Pond to implement Sage Intacct to enable them to significantly improve accounting processes (no more tedious Excel spreadsheets) and deliver complete transparency to their donors. Check out the how they achieved this in the below blog from Leap the Pond.
Founded in 2004, Cambodian Children’s Fund is a non-profit that provides life-changing education, nourishment and healing to vulnerable children from some of Cambodia’s most destitute communities. Cambodian Children’s Fund cares for more than 2,000 students and 10,000 people annually, providing to entire families and communities in crisis. For the children of the Steung Meanchey area of Phnom Penh, education is their lifeline out of poverty and Cambodian Children’s Fund offers an award-winning education aimed at providing hope, opportunity and security.
Cambodian Children’s Fund was outgrowing its existing financial software. They were always running three weeks behind on their financials and this led to wasted resources and poor reporting/metrics. Cambodian Children’s Fund needed a cloud-based accounting solution that could:
Manage their projected growth
Reduce their dependency on Excel spreadsheets
Provide complete transparency to their donors
Deliver up-to-date custom reports and dashboards
Support users in both Cambodia and the United States
Delivering up-to-date custom reports to Cambodian Children’s Fund’s donors was the main driving force behind the search for a new accounting software system.
Cambodian Children’s Fund chose Leap the Pond to implement Sage Intacct, a cloud-based accounting software solution. Sage Intacct enables them to significantly improve accounting processes (no more tedious Excel spreadsheets) and deliver complete transparency to their donors.
“During the sales process, the Leap the Pond team promised that Sage Intacct would deliver complete transparency to our donors and flexible financial reporting and analysis using their Dimensions feature. After implementation and running our financials in Sage Intacct, Leap the Pond delivered on all their promises.” Mike Griffiths, Financial Systems Advisor, Cambodian Children’s Fund.
Financial transparency is a common concern for many non-profits. In addition, many stakeholders and funders have different reporting criteria and custom reports have to be constructed. Sage Intacct’s Dimensions feature met the reporting requirements for Cambodian Children’s Fund’s different stakeholders and provide complete transparency across the organization.
Since Cambodia’s Children Fund’s implementation, they have:
Improved the monthly reporting cycle to provide timely reports within days of the month end
Simplified and streamlined key accounting processes
Improved overall efficiencies because transactions are now done online with up-to-date data
Increased competence of accounting transparency and ability to track spending
Managed spend better to stay in line with income
Sage Intacct allows Cambodian Children’s Fund the transparency they need and the opportunity to grow their organization without worry that they’ll outgrow their accounting solution.
