For nearly 20 years, Intacct – now Sage Intacct – has been focused on the key things needed to drive the success of a business: providing an innovative solution that delivers measurable results for customers, combined with unmatched levels of customer satisfaction, and a company culture built around happy employees.

For the last 10 years, this vision and growth has been led by Rob Reid, managing director and EVP of Sage Intacct. As a leader and mentor, Rob understands that culture starts from those in senior positions and plays an important role in shaping individuals who are responsible for bringing their personal and career dreams to life.

With a visionary approach to cloud technology and by creating a culture that encourages constant learning, Sage Intacct was recently named as one of the 2018 Best Small & Medium Workplaces by Great Place to Work and FORTUNE.

The ranking considered more than 158,000 employee surveys from small and medium-sized companies and evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job.

These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization.

Rob says, “I used to think strategy, execution, and culture were a three-legged stool. Now I realize that if you create the best culture, the other two will follow.” The mentality at Sage Intacct is to look for and hire team oriented and results-driven people who want to contribute and make a difference every step of the way.

Sage Intacct offices were also recently named one of the Best Workplaces for Diversity by FORTUNE. This annual list, compiled by FORTUNE and longtime research partner Great Place to Work, identifies companies in the U.S. with the very best workplace experiences according to the diverse colleagues who work there.

To determine the list, Great Place to Work analyzed the experiences of women, people of color, LGBTQ people, employees who are Boomers or older, and people who have disabilities, comparing their survey results to their colleagues at the same organizations.

“At Sage, we take great pride in our commitment to diversity and inclusiveness,” Rob adds. “Having a diverse workforce is an indispensable component of our culture and something I feel is critical to building a world-class organization.”

Some of the key results from the survey of Sage Intacct colleagues, include:

  • 97% said that when you join the company, you are made to feel welcome
  • 96% said that management is honest and ethical in its business practices
  • 96% said people care about each other here
