One of the Sage Intacct Accountants Program team members Nicole Ksiazek recently had the opportunity to speak with our partner Torres CPA.
They are located in Puerto Rico and she reached out to see how they were doing as some of our correspondence has gone unanswered recently. As of today, there is still no power in their homes, going on almost two months, but there is hope that they will have power restored by the end of the week.
When asked if they were planning to relocate until they have shored up the infrastructure, their response was, “No – we need to be here for our clients. Our internet is up and running and we can access Sage Intacct.” Their business is currently running using kerosene powered generators and they are working 10-12 hours per day. In the immediate aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, they had to ration gasoline and often waited five hours just to fill their tanks.
I found this story to be very touching... it is an amazing example of the courage shown by Torres CPA during extremely challenging times and the unmatched dedication that our Sage Intacct partners have to their clients.
We are incredibly proud of the ecosystem of partners that Sage Intacct has built up over the years, and this is another, important example of why they are the best of the best.
