SAN JOSE, Calif. – Sept. 10, 2014 – Intacct, a leader in cloud financial management and accounting software, today announced that Taylor Macdonald has been recognized by Accounting Today in the publication’s latest report highlighting thought leaders and visionaries within the accounting industry. Taylor Macdonald, Intacct’s vice president of channels, was placed on the “2014 Accounting Today Top 100 People” list for the eleventh time in his career.

Accounting Today noted, “The competition in cloud accounting is getting hotter by the minute, and Macdonald is one of Intacct’s secret weapons—a savvy former reseller with a deep understanding of the accounting market.”

At Intacct, Taylor is responsible for managing the Intacct Value Added Reseller (VAR) and CPA channel initiatives. The Intacct channel program has attracted the cream of the crop, including 28 of the Top 100 CPA firms, 21 of the Top 100 VARs in the industry, and three firms on Accounting Today’s list of Technology Pacesetters.

“Taylor has done an outstanding job helping Intacct build the strongest channel program in the cloud financial management and accounting software space. His Channel 3.0 strategy has directly contributed to the success of our indirect sales channel throughout 2014, as evidenced by our partner’s positive results and all-around accelerated growth,” said Robert Reid, CEO of Intacct. “This recognition by Accounting Today is a much merited honor for Taylor. He has a solid plan in place for the future of the Intacct channel and is an outstanding asset to the company and our partners.”

“It is a great honor to be recognized by Accounting Today for the eleventh time and a privilege to be listed alongside so many other renowned experts within the accounting and finance space,” said Macdonald.

Taylor has more than 20 years’ experience building and operating some of the largest and most successful channel programs in the world for financial and ERP providers. Earlier this year, CRN also recognized Taylor as one of their 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs.

Other notable people making this year’s list were President Barack Obama, state senators, and executives at several Intacct partners, including the AICPA, Arxis, Avalara, Bill.com, McGladrey, SS&G, and WithumSmith + Brown.
