SAN JOSE, Calif. – Dec. 12, 2012 – A proud group of Intacct business partners were honored last week by industry influencer Bob Scott in his annual VAR Stars list, which recognizes the achievements of mid-market accounting software resellers. In all, one hundred companies were included on the 2012 list, of which 20 were Intacct channel partners. This represents a significant jump from 2011, when Intacct had nine partners on the list. Among cloud application providers, Intacct had by far the highest representation on the list, equaling the number of partners from the next two cloud providers combined.
The Intacct Business Partner Program continues to attract the industry’s top talent. Intacct partners named to this year’s list generated tens of millions of dollars in revenue and served hundreds of organizations across every US region and key vertical markets. Using Intacct’s flexible, cloud-based system these firms also built dozens of innovative, industry-specific add-on solutions to extend the value of Intacct even further and drive additional revenue. The results have been outstanding, with Intacct Business Partners closing more than three times as many new deals in the past fiscal year versus the prior year.
Intacct partners recognized on the 2012 VAR Stars list include: Aktion Associates, Armanino McKenna, Arxis Technology, Brittenford Systems, Central Consulting Group, e2b teknologies, Eide Bailly, InnoVergent, InterDyn Artis, InterDyn BMI, InterDyn Cargas, JMT Consulting Group, L. Kianoff, LBMC Technologies, Martin & Associates, McGladrey, Plus Computer Solutions, Sererra, Shafer Solutions, and Synergy Business Solutions.
“Working with these companies every day, we were not at all surprised to see them receive this very well-deserved industry recognition,” said Taylor Macdonald, vice president of Channels at Intacct. “We have built a world-class partner program that attracts the top firms in the industry. Every Intacct partner shares our focus on providing world-class financial management and accounting applications, first-rate client service, and industry leadership.”
Intent on maintaining its elite status, Intacct increased support for its channel program in 2012. Several key hires were made to the sales and marketing teams, the number and variety of marketing programs grew significantly, and partners received even more support with client onboarding, product training, marketing, sales, and implementation. This year’s most important channel initiative, however, has been development of Intacct’s innovative hybrid sales model, which seeks to align resources from the direct and channel teams, while minimizing channel conflict.
“This is all part of our philosophy to create truly meaningful and lasting partnerships,” said Macdonald. “Intacct has made partner ownership of client relationships and a top priority. We believe this perspective, coupled with our ‘easy to do business with’ attitude, is in the best interests of our partners and their clients, and will enable more Intacct partners to join the VAR Stars list in 2013 and beyond.”
The selection of mid-market accounting software resellers for Bob Scott’s VAR Stars rests on one basic principal: quality, not revenue, as the deciding factor in picking the 100 businesses that are selected for this honor. VARs from very small shops to the largest participants in the business have been selected in past years and in this year’s list. A variety of criteria go into the definition of quality including awards resellers have received from vendors, leadership in the industry, and development and acceptance of important software products by the resellers.
