Intacct’s Channel Chief and Partner Program Recognized by CRN

Publication’s List of People You “Need to Know” Includes Taylor Macdonald, Who is Driving Intacct’s Partner Program to Record Growth

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Feb. 21, 2012 – Intacct, a leading provider of cloud financial management and accounting software, today announced that Taylor Macdonald, the company’s vice president of Channels, has been named to CRN’s list of the top channel chiefs for 2012. This prestigious list recognizes executives from the IT industry who are directly responsible for driving channel sales and growth within their organizations, while evangelizing and defending the importance of the channel throughout the industry. The 2012 Channel Chief list, which was compiled by the editors at CRN, appears in the magazine’s February 20 issue and is available at https://www.crn.com/channel-chiefs/cc2012.htm.

Macdonald has been a leader in the channel for more than 20 years. He has built and run some of the largest and most successful channel programs in the world of financial management and ERP software, including Deltek and Sage. The Channel Chiefs recognition is not the first time that Macdonald’s accomplishments have been noticed by his peers in the IT industry. Macdonald was previously named a Top 50 Channel Champion three times by CRN. Additionally, he has been named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting eight different times by the industry’s top publication, Accounting Today.

Under Macdonald’s leadership, Intacct’s channel program – and by extension, its business overall – has grown by leaps and bounds. The cloud financial management leader now boasts partnerships with 19 of the top 100 CPA firms, 17 of the Top 100 VARs in the industry, 18 firms from Bob Scott’s 2011 VAR Stars list, and eight of Accounting Today’s Tech Pacesetters, which honors VARs that have moved beyond traditional revenue paths to outperform the market. These firms have all benefited from Intacct’s partner-friendly business model and have seen outstanding results from adding the company’s award-winning cloud financial management and accounting applications to their portfolios.

Meanwhile, Intacct’s channel success is having a measurable impact on overall company growth. In its second fiscal quarter, ended December 31, 2011, Intacct set records for both new bookings and revenue – much of which was driven by outstanding growth from the channel. Intacct’s business partners combined to close nearly as many new customers during the last quarter than in the previous four quarters combined.

“We are extremely proud of Taylor, the entire channels team, and the outstanding partners that are representing Intacct’s cloud financial management solutions,” said Robert Reid, CEO at Intacct. “Since joining Intacct, Taylor has transformed our partner program into a world-class organization, complete with the industry’s most experienced staff and a proven methodology for success. More than any channel executive with whom I’ve worked, Taylor understands the importance of crafting mutually beneficial relationships with partners. The Intacct Business Partner Program not only creates a strong revenue stream for Intacct, but it promotes success within each of our partners by providing access to Intacct’s innovative cloud-based software and the extensive support they need to grow their business.”

“The 2012 Channel Chiefs list recognizes vendor executives dedicated to driving channel programs in the IT marketplace,” said Kelley Damore, VP, Editorial Director, UBM Channel. “Our annual Channel Chiefs issue is a must-read for IT solution providers evaluating new vendors or looking to expand solution offerings. These are the people, the products and the programs that any savvy solution provider needs to know. We congratulate this year’s Channel Chiefs for their stellar record of business innovation and applaud them for their continued dedication to the partner community.”
