SAN JOSE, Calif. – July 28, 2015 – In recognition of his significant contributions to the software development community, Aaron Harris, Chief Technology Officer at Intacct, has been named the Executive of the Year in the Cloud Computing/SaaS category of the prestigious CEO World Awards. This is the second straight year an executive from Intacct, the leading provider of best-in-class cloud ERP software, has earned the Gold distinction in the CEO World Awards—as Intacct CEO Robert Reid was named a CEO of the Year last year.
The annual CEO World Awards program encompasses the world’s best in leadership, innovation, organizational performance, new products and services, and customer satisfaction programs from every major industry. Organizations of all sizes are eligible to submit nominations including both public and private companies, as well as non-profits.
Aaron has more than 20 years of high-tech engineering experience in business applications and software development strategies. From Intacct's earliest days, Aaron has led the company's product vision and technology direction. A pioneer in cloud computing, Aaron helped Intacct build the world's first cloud architecture delivering on-demand financial applications. As a recognized thought leader, he regularly contributes to the development of best practices for cloud computing, service oriented architecture, platform as a service, and accounting and finance technology standards.
Most recently, Aaron helped launch Intacct Performance Cards, new dashboard visualizations that provide Intacct users with at-a-glance views into critical performance trends, and Intacct Collaborate, a secure social layer embedded directly into the Intacct financial system.
Aaron also saw an opportunity to tap the knowledge in other geographical areas by opening an international development office. He selected Romania to utilize the outstanding depth and knowledge within the Romanian software development community and the office successfully opened in October 2014.
