Sage recognized for unwavering commitment to the community in annual social responsibility awards

2021 Tech Cares Award

ATLANTA (Oct. 6, 2021) - Sage (FTSE:SGE), the market leader in cloud business management solutions, today announced the company has received a 2021 Tech Cares Award from TrustRadius. This second annual award celebrates companies that have gone above and beyond in the past year to provide strong Corporate Social Responsibility across the board.

As a global technology company, Sage is committed to giving individuals, small and medium size businesses, and the planet opportunities to thrive. Earlier this year, Sage launched an ambitious new sustainability and society strategy, Knocking Down Barriers, that will revolve around three key pillars:

  • Fuel for Business: Tackling economic inequality by supporting underrepresented groups
  • Protect the Planet: Tackling the climate crisis by powering sustainable business models
  • Tech for Good: Tackling digital inequality for innovation, enterprise, and progress

Specifically, in the United States, this strategy includes a partnership with The BOSS Network. Sage has committed to a three-year program to provide support and guidance to women of color entrepreneurs across the U.S. to achieve their goals with everything that is needed to successfully start and grow new businesses. Additionally, Sage is partnering with ACE (Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs) to support local small businesses in the Greater Atlanta area, home of the U.S headquarters of Sage.

“Sage has always prioritized taking care of our customers, colleagues and community. I am so proud of the way our teams have adapted during a global pandemic to continue that support in a meaningful way,” said Nancy Harris, EVP and Managing Director, Sage North America. “Receiving a Tech Cares award goes beyond just recognizing Sage; it is a testament to the efforts of all Sage colleagues and showcases our values and the mission we strive for every day.”

“The past two years have tested the tech community,” said TrustRadius CEO Vinay Bhagat. “We've been inspired by watching leaders in the B2B technology industry pursue meaningful progress in social, environmental, and cultural spaces. We’re excited to announce our second annual Tech Cares Award winners. Not only do we feel that these companies are deserving of recognition—we also consider them a great example as we build a stronger future together.”

Another key aspect of the Tech Cares award recognition is Sage Foundation, which sits at the heart of Sage and empowers colleagues to give back to their local communities in all 23 markets served by Sage. The goal of Sage Foundation is to transform lives to support economic stability and social equality through these efforts. To date, Sage Foundation has donated $1 million through a combination of volunteering and fundraising and is targeting $2 million by 2022. During the pandemic, as in-person volunteering stopped, Sage Foundation quickly pivoted the volunteer model to work with the local organizations they support and provided online sessions between them and Sage colleagues.
